This Privacy Policy explains how AUSZ Global Pty Ltd ("AUSZ Global", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"). This policy applies to all aspects of AUSZ Global's business in Australia.
1. Definitions
1.1. AUSZ Global means AUSZ Global Pty Ltd (ACN 638 227 684).
1.2. AUSZ Global App / AG Driver App means an application created by AUSZ Global to provide a platform for the Driver to receive and accept requests for Chauffeur Service.
1.3. Chauffeur Service means the chauffeur service provided by the Driver as defined in the Terms and Conditions for Drivers.
1.4. Client means a person who uses the AUSZ Global App or Website to request Chauffeur Service.
1.5. Driver means a driver who uses the AUSZ Global App or Website to provide the Chauffeur Service to the Client.
1.6. Personal Information has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and includes the information described in clause 4.2.
1.7. Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as amended from time to time.
1.8. Services means the services provided via the AUSZ Global App, including connecting Clients with Drivers for Chauffeur Service.
1.9. User means any user of the AUSZ Global App or Website, any user of the Services, and any person who contacts or provides Personal Information to AUSZ Global.
1.10. Website means auszglobal.com.au and any of its subpages, portals and webpages.
2. Australian Privacy Principles
2.1. AUSZ Global is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We are committed to complying with the APPs and protecting the privacy of all Users.
2.2. This Privacy Policy sets out how AUSZ Global collects information from Users and how Users may request access to, and correction of, their Personal Information.
2.3. This Privacy Policy applies to all Users, anyone who contacts AUSZ Global or its related bodies corporate, and anyone who submits information to AUSZ Global.
3. Collection of Personal Information
3.1. AUSZ Global collects Personal Information to enable us to provide Services, communicate with Users, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
3.2. We may collect the following types of Personal Information:
Identity and Contact Information
- full name
- date of birth and/or age
- gender
- address (including email address)
- phone number
- emergency contact details
- account username and login credentials
Payment Information
- credit card or debit card details (processed and stored securely by our PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers)
- billing address
- transaction history
Account Preferences
- service preferences, such as the "Preferred Driver" function
- communication preferences
Driver-Specific Information (if applicable)
- location of Chauffeur Service provision
- identification documents (passport, driver licence)
- criminal history and background check results
- taxation details (ABN)
- vehicle details and insurance information
- any other information required by law to verify suitability to provide Chauffeur Services
Usage and Device Information
- geo-location information, departure and destination data, trip duration and distance
- device details, device IDs, IP address, operating system, browser type
- app usage patterns, pages visited and features used
- information relating to complaints, ratings or compliments
Third-Party Information
- information about family members or referrals provided by the User
- social media account details (if connected to the AUSZ Global App)
4. Purpose of Collection
4.1. We collect and use Personal Information for the following purposes:
- providing, managing and improving our Services
- processing bookings, payments and refunds
- facilitating communication between Drivers and Clients
- verifying User identity for safety and security
- providing real-time ride tracking and driver dispatch
- conducting research and analysis to improve our Services
- sending service-related communications (booking confirmations, updates)
- sending promotional communications (only with your consent — see clause 6)
- complying with legal obligations, including tax and regulatory reporting
- assisting in dispute resolution and investigating complaints
- exercising our rights in connection with legal proceedings
4.2. AUSZ Global may anonymise or aggregate Personal Information for analytics, reporting and service improvement purposes where permitted by law.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
5.1. We do not sell your Personal Information. We may disclose your information to:
- Chauffeur Partners: We share relevant booking details (name, pickup location, contact number) with assigned Drivers to fulfil your service.
- Payment Processors: We use PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors (including Square) to handle transactions securely.
- Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist with hosting (Amazon Web Services), analytics, customer support and communications, subject to confidentiality agreements.
- Related Entities: AUSZ Global related bodies corporate and business partners who assist in providing Services.
- Legal Requirements: Where required by law, regulation, court order or enforceable government request.
- Emergency Situations: To emergency contacts or family members in the event of an incident or emergency.
6. Direct Marketing
6.1. AUSZ Global will only send you promotional marketing communications where you have provided your express opt-in consent. You may receive marketing via email, SMS, push notification or post.
6.2. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:
- clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email
- adjusting your notification preferences in the AUSZ Global App
- contacting us at info@auszglobal.com.au
6.3. Opting out of marketing will not affect service-related communications (e.g., booking confirmations, payment receipts, safety alerts).
6.4. AUSZ Global complies with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth). We will not send unsolicited commercial electronic messages without consent and will honour all opt-out requests within 5 business days.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
7.1. Our Website and App use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the Website and App to function (e.g., session management, authentication).
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how Users interact with our services (e.g., Google Analytics). These collect anonymised usage data.
- Functional cookies: Remember your preferences and settings.
7.2. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Website. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
8. Cross-Border Disclosure
8.1. In accordance with APP 8, we inform you that your Personal Information may be stored or processed in the following countries:
- Australia: Primary data storage and processing (AWS Sydney region)
- United States: Cloud infrastructure services (Amazon Web Services), payment processing, analytics services
8.2. Before disclosing Personal Information to an overseas recipient, AUSZ Global takes reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient complies with the APPs or is subject to a substantially similar privacy regime. We use contractual arrangements and data processing agreements to protect your information.
9. Data Security
9.1. AUSZ Global implements industry-standard security measures to protect Personal Information, including:
- encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- access controls and authentication procedures
- regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- employee and contractor training on data handling practices
- physical security measures for office premises
9.2. Access to Personal Information is limited to employees and contractors who require it to perform their duties or provide services to Users.
9.3. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials. The account granted by AUSZ Global is non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-assignable and non-transferrable.
9.4. If you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account or any security breach, you must immediately notify AUSZ Global.
10. Notifiable Data Breaches
10.1. AUSZ Global complies with the Notifiable Data Breaches ("NDB") scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
10.2. If AUSZ Global becomes aware of an eligible data breach (or suspects one has occurred) that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual, we will:
- take immediate steps to contain the breach and mitigate any harm
- conduct an assessment within 30 days to determine whether the breach is an eligible data breach
- notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ("OAIC") as soon as practicable
- notify affected individuals as soon as practicable, including a description of the breach, the type of information involved, and recommended steps to mitigate potential harm
11. Data Retention
11.1. AUSZ Global retains Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:
- Active accounts: Personal Information is retained for the duration of the account.
- Closed accounts: Core account data (name, contact details, transaction history) is retained for 7 years after account closure to comply with Australian tax and regulatory obligations.
- Booking and trip data: Retained for 7 years for tax, insurance and dispute resolution purposes.
- Marketing preferences: Opt-out records are retained indefinitely to honour your preferences.
- Driver background checks: Retained for the duration of the Driver's engagement plus 3 years.
11.2. When Personal Information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it in accordance with APP 11.2.
12. Your Rights
12.1. Under the APPs and applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request access to the Personal Information we hold about you (APP 12). We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information (APP 13).
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and Personal Information, subject to our legal retention obligations (see clause 11).
- Opt-out: Opt out of promotional communications at any time (see clause 6).
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for location data collection through your device settings.
- Complain: Lodge a complaint about our handling of your information (see clause 14).
12.2. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@auszglobal.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
12.3. AUSZ Global will not charge a fee for processing access or correction requests unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (in which case we will inform you of the fee before proceeding).
13. Geo-location Service
13.1. To use the AUSZ Global App, the User must allow the App to access geo-location data. This is necessary for providing accurate ETAs, driver dispatch and ride tracking.
13.2. The User may disable location sharing through their device settings at any time, however this may affect the functionality of the App.
13.3. Location data is collected via GPS, IP address and device sensors. We retain trip-specific location data in accordance with our data retention policy (clause 11).
14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
14.1. If you have concerns about how we handle your Personal Information, please contact our Privacy Officer at info@auszglobal.com.au.
14.2. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days. We may require proof of identity for security purposes.

15. Third-Party Services
15.1. Our platform may contain links to third-party websites and services, including mapping providers, payment gateways and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
16. Children's Privacy
16.1. The AUSZ Global App is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
17. Communications Recording
17.1. The AUSZ Global App allows Drivers and Clients to communicate with each other. AUSZ Global may record communications (including voice and text) for safety, monitoring and quality assurance purposes.
17.2. By using the communication features of the AUSZ Global App, you consent to such recording. Recordings are stored securely and retained in accordance with clause 11.
18. Amendments
18.1. AUSZ Global may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Users of material changes by posting the updated policy on our Website and App, and where practicable, by email notification, at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
18.2. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
